The lip flip: a subtle alternative to filler
A neuromodulator trick that shows more upper lip without adding volume.

Not every lip enhancement involves filler. The lip flip is a subtle, increasingly popular technique using a neuromodulator (the same type of product used for wrinkles) to create the appearance of a fuller upper lip without adding any volume.
The technique places a small amount of neuromodulator in the muscle along the upper lip, which relaxes it so that the lip rolls slightly outward and upward, showing more of the pink (vermilion) and reducing how much the upper lip disappears when you smile. The effect is subtle, a slightly more prominent, lifted upper lip, and it does not add fullness the way filler does. It is quick, with results developing over days and lasting a couple of months, shorter than filler.
The lip flip suits people who want a subtle enhancement, who feel their upper lip vanishes when they smile, or who want to show a touch more lip without the volume of filler. It can also be combined with a small amount of filler for those wanting both definition and the flip effect. Because it relaxes muscle, slight temporary effects on lip function (like pursing or using a straw) are possible if overdone, so a conservative, experienced injector matters. For the right person wanting subtlety, the lip flip is an elegant, low-commitment option that achieves a different effect than filler, enhancement through muscle relaxation rather than added volume.
